ReproCryo DMSO Free™ is an optimized freezing medium for ES/iPS cells without the component of DMSO, which is based on the never- before innovation by Institute for Frontier Medical Sciences at Kyoto University.

Reprocell

ReproCryo DMSO-free RM is a medium optimized for cryopreservation of iPS cells.  Unlike other freezing medium, it contains no dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), which is a known mutagen and carcinogen.

1.  Cell Viability

The performance of ReproCryo DMSO Free™ is competitive with other DMSO- containing freezing media.  Cell viability is typically 85 to 95%, providing good yields and rapid recovery after thawing.

2.  Cell Health and Recovery

Compared with other DMSO-containing products, cells recover rapidly in ReproCryo DMSO-free RM medium.  By day 3, it is common to see significant growth; whereas, some leading other leading-brands display a lag-time before cell recovery and reaching exponential growth phase.  ReproCryo DMSO-free RM is effective, but gentle on cell health.

3. Pluripotency (Immunostaining)

The pluripotency of thawed iPSC was confirmed by immunostaining with fluorescently-conjugated antibodies against specific pluripotency markers.

4. Pluripotency (FACS analysis)

The pluripotency of thawed iPSC was confirmed by FACS (fluorescence activated cell sorting) analysis after immunostaining against specifiic pluripotency markers.
